Freelance Creative Assistant (Melbourne)

I’m looking for a freelance assistant to support me across the creative and logistical side of Home/Lifestyle content production. This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role ideal for someone with an interest in styling, media, interiors, or brand shoots.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare shoot materials — including steaming, ironing, packing/collecting props or styling tools

• Assist on set with framing, lighting, and behind-the-scenes content capture (iPhone or handheld)

• Help organise and maintain the marketing calendar.

• Provide ad hoc support on set days — including basic set dressing or moving lightweight furniture

• Support with editing short-form video content for TikTok and Instagram (experience preferred)

Role Details

• Freelance, casual basis – flexible around shoot schedules

• 1–2 days per week, depending on project volume

• Melbourne-based – preference for inner suburbs proximity

Ideal Candidate

• A student, recent graduate, or someone seeking flexible work (e.g. post-maternity return to work etc.)

• Someone with an interest in interior design/lifestyle content

• Organised, with strong initiative and attention to detail

• Familiar with content creation and social media formats

• Confident with basic tools (tripods, stabilisers, Google Drive, iPhones)

• Able to problem-solve in real time and contribute to a calm, productive environment
