4 tips when shopping for new clothes.

Shopping for new clothes can be daunting. Especially at the moment with everything going up in price. You don’t want to settle for low-quality pieces or garments that arn’t helping the people making them, the planet and really, at the end of it all, your pocket. It’s so important to get these new additions to your wardrobe right so you can get the most out of them.

  1. Look at your wardrobe before you leave.

First up I always search my wardrobe and see what’s missing before I shop. For example, in my recent shopping trip. I knew before heading out I had enough trousers and jackets but not many shirts/jumpers.

  2. Always check to see what garments made from

You can find that on the tag inside the item at the bottom. Ideally, I see it is made from 95-100% natural fibres. For example, when I saw this knit collar shirt I had a suss of the materials it’s made from. This cotton silk blend is Super soft.

  3. Next up are details.

When shopping for basic pieces especially, have a look to see if there are any unique details. For example, I liked the deep navy shade and the wide collar on this sweatshirt. I could tell by the hand feel and French Terry lining its made from a really nice thick 100% cotton material.

There’s some recycled cotton in there too apparently which we love to see.

  4. Finally, sizing.

I sized down which is something I noticed will a lot of cos clothing. I’m normally a Large - xl depending on if I want it more relaxed but this is regular.

So keep that in mind for Cos especially for shopping online because there’s a lot more variety on their website than what’s in store. particularly the city store. Super tiny range.

So don’t just run with the size you normally are if it doesn’t look right. Fit is so important.

Overall some really good finds and I hope these tips help you to add some quality options to your wardrobe.
