5 Budget Friendly Side Tables in Australia for under $100AUD.

Nice side tables are some of the hardest things to come by. Especially ones that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Honestly, it seems in Australia we very much have to deal with what we’ve been given. If you’re like me, you’re scrolling past some incredible spaces and furniture to see that it’s only available in the EU or US.

Here are a couple I’ve found that fit the bill in most circumstances. You can always do a quick search on FB Marketplace for a one-off goodie of course, but that wouldn’t be much help in a blog post now, would it?

Here’s a couple that are readily available at a store potentially near you for under $100!

  1. Dinis Side Table - Early Settler $99

The Dinis Side Table is not just about utility; it's about making a statement. Crafted from mango wood, it features a unique base with curved elements that add a touch of elegance and intrigue to its design. The dark brown hue of the mango wood, enhanced by a lacquered finish, exudes an air of sophistication and warmth. It’s leaning more down the earthy, rustic kind of style but would work across a range of different homes. Particularly in a living room or bedroom set up.

2. Madeline Side Table - Kmart $25.00

Add a touch of contemporary sophistication to your living space with this sleek and stylish Madeline side table. It gives very much of that English cottage core aesthetic that is very popular in the UK at the moment. Known for its bobbin round ball shape design. It’s popping up on furniture legs, chair tops, picture frames you name it! its probably got a bobbin.

In Australia, the style is considered more appropriate for children’s bedrooms but if you’re in the know, you’ll see the reference and be happy to incorporate it into your home.

Kmart has left it open for you to paint it. I’d opt for a French blue, green or yellow colour. Or, if you want to Scandi it up a bit go for a bold blue or red.

3. Tingby Side Table - IKEA $79

Speaking of Scandi design. This Tingby side table gives that HAY design look and feel without the price tag. Definitely has to be in the right context and paired with the right elements. But a good choice if you’re after a young, midcentury look and feel.

4. White Textured Side Table - Kmart $39.00

If you’re after something to blend in and not make too much of a statement you could opt for this streamlined, White Textured Side Table. It gives a coastal, contemporary, simple shape and design that will draw focus to whatever you wise to place on it.

5. Chunky ribbed side table - Kmart $39

This Chunky Ribbed Side Table gives a new take on my side table in my bedroom currently. It’s contemporary, easy to fit in a range of spaces and very ‘Australian design.’ You could give this side table a splash of colour to give it an alternate look in the same colours as I mentioned for the Madeline side table for sure.

Now I know these are not exactly the stunners that we catch on our feeds but! this is a pretty good mix with some great options that will suit your space and won’t break the bank!
