4 Australian Interior Designers/Studios to keep an eye on!

I’m in a local mood at the moment. Searching far and wide for individuals that share a similar vision and passion for interiors and lifestyle design. I find it so crucial as a creative to look to those around us to feel like we’re on the right track and continue to motivate our passions.

Here are just a few of the creatives interior design studios I keep a close eye on here Down Under;

Tamsin Johnson

‘Elegant, inviting, and imbued with relaxed luxury, Tamsin Johnson’s interiors reveal her artful eye and talent for combining forms, textures, colours and styles in both residential and commercial spaces.’

I love the transitional, eclecticism and euro-centric design style Tamsin brings to the Australian landscape. It’s refreshing and stands out amongst the crowded room of sudo Hampton coastal design work seen so often here in Australia. You can see a real appreciation of an array of cultural period pieces. Overall her spaces feel grounded, timeless and effortless sophistication. Well worth a follow!

Flack Studio

‘Flack Studio is a multi-disciplinary practice of designers and architects committed to delivering supremely elegant contemporary interiors.’

You definitely feel a sense of effortless grandeur when it comes to Flack Studios. Their work is seen all over the world and most recently Architectural Digest. And for obvious reasons. From their residential work, notably Troy Sivan’s Melbourne home, through to their commercial hospitality venues like cafe Gabriel, they cover all interior styles to the next degree.

acme-co

‘ACME is a well established multidisciplinary design firm delivering a broad range of creative projects. the boutique practice has extensive professional experience in both small and large scale projects including completed works in the hospitality, residential, commercial, industrial, public and adaptive reuse sectors. the studio has partnered with well known and innovative clients who they continue to forge relationships with.’

Studio Esteta

‘Founded in 2015 by directors Sarah Cosentino and Felicity Slattery, Studio Esteta embraces the understanding that beauty - often raw and unpredictable - has many facets. Often these can be found in the many subtle, bespoke details that elevate a design, set it apart and work in harmony to evoke a sense of surprise and delight. Studio Esteta strives to always approach the built form, materials and project briefs with a worldly outlook, eschewing trends in favour of a more considered, directional and wholly tailored approach leading to contemporary designs of a refined and timeless nature.’

Arent&Pyke

‘Our approach is to listen and understand what matters to you and learn how daily life unfolds within your world. We enjoy the process of helping you articulate your own taste and vision and through our breadth of industry knowledge and breathe new life into your new or already existing space.’
